Digiflavor and Rip Trippers teamed up to design a new RDA that features a beautiful build deck and it will hold 3 ml of e-juice. So it is not a tank but does mimic and RTA in that respect. So there’s a fair amount to go over in our Digiflavor Pharaoh dripper tank review. If you like building and cloud chasing, yah I think you are going to love this one. The construction quality is amazing. They went with the best stainless steel and the no spit back drip tip is going to bring a whole new level of enjoyment. Especially to vapers who like the high wattages or temperatures.
First, this was designed in partnership with Rip Trippers. Rip is one of the first online vape reviewers and has gained a huge following over the years. Rip is not a cloud chaser himself but her certainly knows what not takes to get the biggest vape clouds and he is a fanatic when it comes to quality. He also likes flavor and indeed the Pharaoh dripper tank RDA is designed to deliver peak flavor. His name attached to this product will also help in the promotion and credibility.
As I went through some different coils and tests for the Pharaoh dripper tank review, tt did not take long to determine that this device is something special and different. I like tanks and pre-built coils. I test drippers and RDAs but they aren’t my first choice. I am not a skilled builder like many of you are. The Pharaoh RDA is different though. It is really easy to work with and enjoyable to use. Ladies and gentlemen, we have a new best RDA and it is the Pharaoh.
How The Rip Trippers Pharaoh RDA Came To Be
Digiflavor is a Chinese electronic cigarette manufacturer that is working in a very competitive field to make a name for themselves. They have a lot going for them. They are committed to quality and they have a number of successful devices. They do make a DNA 200 mod called the DFD200 and we have heard a few good things about it. In our view, we still have the Los Vape Triade DNA 200 vape mod rated as the best DNA 200 but Digiflavor is making some noise.
Digiflavor is probably better known for their atomizers. They have some excellent tanks and RDAs. What they did was reach out to Rip Trippers about partnering on a new design for a drip tank. Rip did ask for something in return. He wanted a commitment to advocacy for vaping in the US. Digiflavor committed to donating $10 K and a deal was done. A design was formulated and here we are!
The Pharaoh may not be for everybody. If you are not into building coils make sure to check out out best vape tanks to find something more suitable to your vaping preferences.
DigiFlavor Pharaoh Dripper Tank Review
The Pharaoh RDA tank is a 25 mm diameter atomizer and stands 45 mm tall. It is made of top grade stainless steel and weighs in at 56 grams. It comes with two 10 ml bore Delrin drip tips so it is a bit bigger than the usual 9 ml bore. There is a big difference between the two drip tips. One of them is a specially designed anti spitback drip tip. It has a grate designed to block eliquid from spitting out. Here, let me show you.
So you can see the grate on the anti-spitback drip tip. The vapor will easily pass through and with the 10% larger bore you will still get a smooth draw. So this is good news for cloud chasers because by widening the tip slightly and creating the anti-spitback grate you get all the vapor and cut out the spitback.
Other A plus features that we need to mention for the Pharaoh dripper tank review are the adjustable, gold plated center pin, the spring loaded clamps on the build deck, the leak proofing and the fact that you can use a dual coil build or single coil. More on that in a bit. Let’s get back to the specs for a second:
- 25 mm Atomizer Base Diameter
- 2 ml Vape Juice Capacity
- 45 mm In Height
- Weighs In At 58 g
- Comes In Black And Stainless Finishes
- Spring Loaded Clamp Design
- Triple Bottom Airflow
- Airflow Control Centrally Directed Under Coil
- Slip-Plate Juice Fill Port On The Base
- Very Easy to Wick And Install Coils
- Anti-Spit Back Drip Tip
- Stainless Steel Construction
Pharaoh Atomizer Deck
So if you are a builder the atomizer deck is what you want to know about. Is this deck easy to build on? Yes! Absolutely. It has an 11 x 14 atomizer deck and can serve as a host for both single coil and dual coil builds. rather than a hole with a screw that holds the lead wires in place, The Pharaoh dripper tank uses a spring loaded clamp system. As you loosen the screw the clamp releases giving you a sizable space to work with when setting the lead wires in place. It works so amazingly well you are going to love it. It has never been easier to secure the lead wires.
The tank base is terrific to build on for a couple of reasons. Number one is the sheer quality. The stainless steel construction and super smooth connections are definitely noticeable. The build quality was the first thing I noticed when I first opened up the box to start the Digiflavor Pharaoh dripper tank review. The other aspect that makes this RDA so easy to build on is simply the elevation of the deck. It gives for fingers some room to maneuver.
The reasons why the deck has a nice height is because the design accommodates a 2 ml reservoir for ejuice underneath the deck as well as a large airflow section that is designed to draw the air into the chamber from directly underneath the coils.
Building On The Pharaoh RDA Deck
You can see in the image above that the three airflow ports are all on one side. They are designed to be away from you and deliver smooth airflow right through the center, up from underneath your coils. You can also see in the image above a tab underneath the clamp screw. That tab rotates the rotating partition that closes off the e-liquid reservoir. This is part of the design that makes this RDA unique. It is designed to be leak proof. Your tips of your cotton wicking will extend from the coil into the 2 ml capacity reservoir.
When your build is done, you rotate the dial to a point where it comes into contact with the cotton. That way there is as opening into the eliquid reservoir but only the space necessary for the wick to draw the ejuice to the coils.
The Pharaoh is designed to deliver brilliant flavor. When you are installing your coil into Rip Trippers Pharaoh dripper tank, one thing you will want to do is position the coil as close to the airflow openings as you can without actually touching the airflow opening. This will really make the flavor pop.
Once you are loaded, wicked and primed you are ready to put the chamber on and start vaping. The chamber does fit tightly on to the base, you will probably notice the resistance. The reason it fits tight is because there is an extra O-ring there to make sure the Pharaoh is leak proof.
Leakproof Pharaoh Meets TPD Standards
If you are one of our European readers checking out our Rip Trippers Digiflavor Pharaoh review you will be happy to know that this drip tank is TPD compliant. I can’t think of any other drippers that could meet the standards. It meets the standard because it will hold 2 ml of ejuice, which is the max in the EU, and it is leak proof.
So, I know what many of you are asking right now. How can an RDA drip tank be leak proof from the top? If you turn it upside down won’t the vape juice leak out? Well, I am glad you asked! You know, the Digiflavor Pharaoh dripper tank review is a real pleasure for me because I get to talk about some new innovation. Huge hats off to Rip because this top leak proof design is a master touch.
How is a drip tank leak proof from the top? Well, here’s how they did it. Inside the chamber at the top the built in a catch cup. It is basically a channel that will contain any e-liquid that flows up toward the tip, such as when the tank is upside down in your pocket or falls over on its side. Fantastic idea. I don’t recommend you carry your Pharaoh upside down but if it should happen, the catch cup acts as a failsafe to keep the ejuice from leaking out.
What Comes With The Pharaoh? How Much Does It Cost?
You get everything you see with the Pharaoh dripper tank. You will get the Pharaoh, an allen key, 2 drip tips one of them with the anti-spitback feature, and spare parts including extra O-rings. It sells for around the $40 mark. We found that Direct Vapor is selling it for $39.95 but they include free shipping making it a very good value. They also sell only authentic product. The last thing you want is to get stuck with a counterfeit RDA and there will be a lot of those on the market believe me!
So before I wrap up a few key points to keep in mind if you are thinking about picking up Rip Trippers Pharaoh dripper tank.
